Bernie Brewer on Black Velvet

I'm not much of a baseball fan, but when I needed a gift for a HUGE fan of Wisconsin sports teams (especially the Milwaukee Brewers), I knew that I had to immortalize Bernie Brewer on black velvet.

So I stretched some black velvet over a cradled pine board and got to work painting an acrylic portrait of the Brewers mascot. I think it came out creepy as heck and my friend absolutely loved it.

No word yet on what his wife had to say about the gift.

(EDIT) His wife loves it and doesn't think it's creepy at all!
